The point he's making is that it's great to think your console is the best thing since sliced bread, but why should everyone else who may have chosen a competitor have to feel the same way? These people are termed 'Fanboys' and typically troll forums or flame people for expressing an opinion contrary to their own (I see it a lot from the faux-pen source brigade, and gamers are no different!). If you're interested in which console I own, it's an XBOX 360 Elite system. I can't boot Linux off it and I'm told repeatedly that its' graphics are inferior while advocates jump to my aid to fire off the virtues of being able to code your own games with XNA, is cheaper and you can use it as a media center extender. Frankly, these are all interesting bonuses, but it does the one thing I want it to do: PLAY GAMES and go online occasionally. Competition is what any industry needs to force innovation, and that's just what the gaming industry is getting right now. But ultimately, if you're happy with your console then that's great - feel free to tell the world about how awesome it is. Just don't berate people for making a choice to use the competitor. Simples?
